Departure
Our home for the journey is a 45 meter live aboard yacht, offering an intimate Maldives sailing experience for up to 18 guests. Choose from three elegant room types on board including State Cabins, Seaview Suites, and Deluxe Seaview Cabins. Each room features ensuite bathrooms, air conditioning, and modern amenities; your comfort is effortless throughout the trip. The expansive upper deck is ideal for relaxation, complete with a freshwater jacuzzi, sun beds, and plenty of space for lounging between ocean adventures.
All meals onboard are included throughout your live aboard experience. This covers daily breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks between meals prepared by our onboard chef. Dietary restrictions and allergies can be accommodated with advance notice. Non-alcoholic beverages such as water, tea, coffee, juices, and soft drinks are also available to you at no additional cost. Alcoholic beverages from the bar are available for purchase on board.
Yes! The Maldives is considered to be a safe destination for tourists and travelers around the globe. The islands are known for their friendly locals, low crime rates, and strong tourism safety standards. You’ll be supported by an experienced on board crew throughout the trip, with carefully curated activities, professional maritime standards, and safety as a top priority.
Daily spending will vary by traveler, but expected to be minimal. We recommend allotting $20–$50 USD per day for optional expenses such as alcoholic beverages, spa services, premium excursions, and crew gratuities. Credit cards are accepted onboard, though having cash on hand is encouraged for small purchases.
You’ll fly into Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé. This is the main international airport in the Maldives and where your adventure begins.
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation, interruption, medical evacuation, and scuba diving activities.
You will need to be 18+ to attend this trip. You are NEVER too old to join our group trips, this is a question we get often. We’ve had travelers from all walks of life, and we get to expand and grow with each other. We encourage people of all ages to step outside of their comfort zones!
The beauty of traveling with strangers is getting to know people from around the world. We are happy to welcome you from anywhere in the world!
If you arrive on the official embarkation day, airport transfers will be arranged for you. If you choose to arrive earlier than embarkation day, you’ll need to organize your own transportation from the airport to your accommodation.
Yes, Malé International Airport is relatively small and easy to navigate, with clear signage and helpful staff throughout. Our team will provide clear arrival instructions in advance, making the process smooth and stress free.
Yes! We encourage everyone to come on the trip, whether you are travelling solo or with a friend. If you're a solo traveler you will be sharing a room with another solo traveler, so you will instantly make friends! Everyone will be on the same property, and social interactions will be encouraged from the second you arrive.
Yes! Once your trip has been confirmed, you will be added to a WhatsApp group chat with all of our confirmed travelers. You will be able to coordinate flights, connect on social media, and get to know your roommate once they’ve been assigned.
Of course! You’re welcome to extend your stay before or after your live aboard experience. The Maldives has much to offer; whether you choose to spend a day relaxing in an overwater bungalow, or explore more of the islands at your own pace.
Each traveler will fill out a roommate questionnaire. This will ensure that each guest is paired with someone who lives a similar lifestyle. You might even find a best friend for life!
Yes! If you are attending the trip with a friend or partner, you can choose to be their roommate. There will be a roommate request option on your roommate questionnaire. To share a room, you must choose to book the same room type.
Weather in the Maldives is warm and tropical year round, with daytime temperatures typically around 79–86°F (26–30°C). You can expect plenty of sunshine, warm ocean temperatures, and potential seasonal tropical showers that pass quickly. Overall, conditions are ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and life on the water.
Tipping is not required, but it is always appreciated. If you feel the crew has provided exceptional service and would like to leave a gratuity, it’s entirely at your discretion and can be provided at the end of the trip.
The US dollar is the most widely accepted currency in the Maldives, and is recommended for this trip. Small amounts of USD in cash is useful for optional extras and island visits, while credit cards are accepted onboard for bar tabs and additional purchases.
No, a credit card of any kind is not required for your trip. However, we do recommend a backup card of some kind in the case that you lose your card or something unexpected happens with your bank.
Please check with your mobile service provider, as service can vary throughout the islands. For a more budget friendly option, we recommend purchasing a local SIM card at the airport; this will typically cost around $30 USD. While the yacht is equipped with Starlink and Cellular Wi-Fi, connectivity may be slow or intermittent at times.
We’ll have a photographer on board who specializes in underwater photography, with some drone footage captured when conditions allow. Most of the professional content will focus on our time in the water and the surrounding seascapes.
US passport holders receive a free 30 day visa on arrival in the Maldives. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates, and you may be required to show proof of onward travel.
If you arrive before the trip start date, you’ll need to arrange your own accommodation and transportation. On embarkation day, you’ll meet our team at the airport to begin your experience.
We recommend lightweight resort wear, swimwear, and an outfit suitable for island visits that covers your knees and shoulders. Motion sickness remedies are also recommended.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB, Apple Pay and China UnionPay payments worldwide.
Payment plans include Link, Klarna, Afterpay/Clearpay and Affirm for those in the United States.
We also offer a 5% booking deposit option to confirm your spot. This payment plan is available worldwide. This method will require bi-weekly payments, and must be paid off before your trip start date. Any missed payment that hasn’t been completed within our 48 hour grace period will forfeit your spot on the trip.
20% of your total trip cost is non-refundable and non-transferable, regardless of when you cancel. Cancellations made 90 or more days before the trip start date are eligible for a refund of any payments made beyond the non-refundable 20%. Cancellations made less than 90 days before the trip start date are not eligible for any refund.
